Today I will be discussing on how to add Gestures on your status bar. Well for those who don’t know what a status bar means, it is that set of options which appear right on top of your screen where you can see your battery level, network strength, notifications, etc. The best part of what I will be sharing today is that this trick will help you add Gestures on any Android device, preferably for devices having Android version 4.0 and above. The Gestures will be supported below 4.0, but there are chances that those Users may not enjoy many features.
So to add Gestures to your status bar, all you need to do is Download and Install the Status Bar Pro app from thisLink. This app is available for free on the Play Store and you can download it using the link or manually by searching for it on the Google Play Store.
After installing it all you need to do is open the app and click on the option Activate.
The app gives you the option to switch on/off the features whenever you want. So to enable the Gestures you need to turn it ON.
The best part of this app is that it is completely customizable, which means you can defines the gestures according to you. You get various gesture options such as Swipe Down, Swipe Left, Swipe Right, Single Tap, Double Tap and Long press. These are the gestures that you can try on you status bar and you can customize any of these gesture according to you to assign what task it should perform. You have the options to Expand Status Bar, Turn off Screen, Go to phone settings, Open recent app, quick settings, etc.

For example if you want to Turn off your screen by just double tapping on your status bar you can do that by selecting Turn off Screen in the Double tap gesture option. It’s that simple, now you don’t need to press the power button again and again, you can simply Turn your screen off by double tapping on the status bar.
And more than that now taking Screenshots becomes more easy just by tapping once on your status bar or Swiping Left or Right.
Note: To enable taking Screenshots using these Gestures you need to have your phone rooted. You require root only for this feature else everything works without root.
Now there is one more exciting feature, you can also add Animations. There is a list of Animations available and you can customize your status bar in the way you want.
That was all, download the app and add some amazing Gestures to your status bar. For any questions feel free to drop them in the comments section given below.
